Enterprise-Grade IT for Nonprofits

Your mission matters too much to be derailed by IT problems. Nonprofits need enterprise-grade security and reliability — but rarely have enterprise budgets.

eTop Technology works with nonprofits across the Inland Empire. The constraint is always the same: every dollar spent on technology is a dollar that didn’t go to the mission, so those dollars have to count. Our job is making sure they do — and finding the ones you shouldn’t be spending at all.

Why Nonprofits Need Professional IT Management

Nonprofits face a unique combination of IT challenges:

Sensitive data, limited resources. You handle donor information, client records, financial data, and program information — all of which need to be protected. But your budget doesn’t allow for a full IT department.

Grant compliance requirements. Many federal, state, and foundation grants come with specific data handling, security, and reporting requirements. Non-compliance can mean losing funding.

High accountability. Donors, boards, and regulators expect responsible stewardship of resources — including technology resources. A data breach or prolonged outage doesn’t just cost money; it costs trust.

Volunteer and hybrid workforces. Many nonprofits rely on a mix of staff, volunteers, and remote workers who all need secure access to systems and data.

How We Help Nonprofits

Microsoft 365 Nonprofit Optimization

Microsoft offers granted and deeply discounted licensing for qualifying nonprofits through microsoft.com/nonprofits — and the program changed significantly in mid-2025, so what you knew two years ago may no longer be accurate. As of the current program: Microsoft 365 Business Basic is granted free for up to 300 users, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium — the tier with the security features a nonprofit handling donor data actually needs — is available at a 75% discount, which works out to roughly $5.50 per user per month at current pricing. The old fully-free Business Premium grant was retired in July 2025, and plenty of organizations are still paying for licenses they could be getting cheaper, or running grants that quietly converted to paid.

We help you verify eligibility, apply, configure the licensing correctly, and actually use what Business Premium includes — many nonprofits pay for it and use a third of it.

Budget-Sensitive Security

Serious security doesn’t have to come with a big-company price tag. We design security architectures that maximize protection within nonprofit budget constraints — prioritizing the controls that matter most for your risk profile.

Grant Compliance Support

We understand the IT requirements embedded in federal and state grants. We help you implement the data handling procedures, security controls, and documentation that keep you in compliance and eligible for continued funding.

Strategic Technology Planning

We help nonprofit leaders make smart technology decisions — where to invest, where to save, and how to build IT infrastructure that scales with your mission without breaking your budget.

Reliable Day-to-Day Support

Your team shouldn’t be troubleshooting IT problems when they could be serving your community. We provide responsive, professional support that keeps your technology running so your team can focus on what matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can nonprofits really afford managed IT services?
Many nonprofits find that managed IT actually costs less than their current approach when you factor in reduced downtime, fewer emergency repair bills, and optimized licensing. We also help nonprofits leverage programs like Microsoft 365 Nonprofit to significantly reduce software costs.
Do you offer nonprofit pricing?
We work with nonprofits to find service configurations that fit their budgets while meeting their security and operational needs. We understand nonprofit constraints and design solutions accordingly.
We handle donor data — what security do we need?
Donor data deserves the same protection as any sensitive personal information. We implement encryption, access controls, secure payment processing support, and data loss prevention controls to protect your donors and your reputation.
Can you help with grant compliance IT requirements?
Yes. Many grants require specific data handling procedures, security controls, and documentation. We help ensure your IT environment meets grant requirements so you can focus on fulfilling your mission.
